It all started in a junkyard repost
The very first scene of Doctor Who showed a Police man walking into a junkyard, inside was a Police box, which was later revealed to be the Doctor’s TARDIS. The text on the gate read: I.M. Foreman, Scrap Merchant, 76 Totter’s Lane.

An Unearthly Child (1963)
The Doctor and his granddaughter Susan had landed in London 1963 where the TARDIS had disguised itself as an old Police Box.

Attack of the Cybermen (1985)
In 1985 the Doctor returned to Totters Lane whilst answering a distress call. This story also saw the TARDIS change from the traditional Police Box several times as the Doctor attempted to fix the chameleon circuit.

Remembrance of the Daleks (1988)
The Doctor returned to Totter’s Lane in 1963. The Doctor had hidden the Hand of Omega during his first visit and didn’t want the Daleks to find it.
